How I Stopped Losing Good Ideas in the Chaos
I used to have a “someday” pile, scraps of paper, screenshots, sticky notes with random ideas I swore I’d get to… someday. Spoiler: someday never came.
Now, I keep a simple “parking lot” section in my planner. It’s where all the good-but-not-urgent stuff lives until I have the mental space to tackle it. That one shift stopped me from losing track of things I actually wanted to do but didn’t have the bandwidth for in the moment. It’s essentially a brain dump “ hey don’t lose this thought” section!
Your brain isn’t meant to hold everything. Having a dedicated spot for “future you” means less mental clutter and more focus for today. You’ve got a spot for your keys, mail, junk drawer. Give your thoughts a home too.
My preferred method of storage are these Binder Pocket Folders. They fit great in your binder, large enough to papers and the closure means they're also secure enough to store the little notes and scraps of paper you scribble your random thoughts on throughout the day. (
If your ideas keep getting lost, it’s time for a system that keeps them safe. See mine here → Shop Here!
